Eli Farinango is a Kichwa photographer working in themes of healing, resistance and the experiences of the Kichwa diaspora. Her work centers around showing the realities of indigenous communities while highlighting the beauty and strength in resistance.
Her work has been featured in various publications, she is the winner of the first-place prize in the Fotografas Latinoamericanas individual category, shortlisted for the Lucie Foundation Emerging artist scholarship and part of the 2019 mentorship class for Women Photograph.
She currently lives between Hamilton (Canada) and Otavalo (Ecuador)
